The Divine Abodes refers to four sublime states, including lovingkindness (metta), compassion (karuna), joy (mudita) and equanimity (upekkha), that cultivate an open, compassionate heart for all beings. In Buddhist practice, there is a spiritual state of being or a sacred place where one feels connected to the diving, embodying universal love, empathy, and peace. This workshop will be a talk on the divine abodes, followed by a guided practice of mindfulness meditation of the wise heart, and then opening up to time for any Q&A. And we’ll end with how to bring this practice with you out into the world.
