Using the symbol of the mandorla, we will explore our paradoxical experiences of both the Wasteland (stagnation) and River (flow) as described in Sharon Blackie’s The Rooted Woman Oracle Guidebook. Together we will create a mandorla painting and observe our unique processes that support and block flow. The mandorla is an archetypal symbol composed of two overlapping circles resulting in an almond shaped intersection. The center of the mandorla represents a highly energized birthing space with great creative potential. We will show visual examples of mandorlas, describe their historical uses, make the connection to the divine feminine, and together create a large group painting. Join us to experience the wisdom that emerges. No painting skills required.
