Almost everyone is familiar with where the “Sun” is in their birth chart, “I’m a Virgo,” “I’m a Leo,” but what about your Moon? The Sun in our chart speaks to where we want to shine in the world. The Moon, in contrast, speaks to how we get there. Our ability to shine the fullness of our light depends on our Moon, the physical, embodied, part of who we are–our experience of “Being.” An understanding of where our Moon is in our birth chart can help us identify what we need on a physical and emotional level to be able to achieve our Sun’s Vision and our Dharma (Soul’s Destiny) in this lifetime. In this lecture, Cathy will describe the meaning of the Moon through each of the 12 Zodiac signs and 12 houses as well as the meaning of the different lunar phases in the birth chart (e.g. New Moon, Crescent Moon etc…). She will then open up the discussion to explore birth charts for participants in the class. If you would like to volunteer to discuss your own birth chart, bring your birth date, time and the location of your birth to the lecture.
