Beauty is essential for the evolution of humanity. In a world that, to many, seems to have gone mad; a world filled with so much ugliness, we need to dream forward new ways to move through to better solutions. Some of us need to hold and expand the light of Beauty as the beacon toward which humanity moves. In order to move forward we must understand the surprising history of Beauty, and we cannot study the history of Beauty without speaking to the history of Women and Magic.
Join Patricia in an exploration of the history, philosophy, and current magical practice of Beauty. This workshop is an introduction to Beauty as an ancient philosophy, a contemplative video presentation on the history of Beauty, and will include a guided meditation that introduces the practice of rational and imaginal thought-building which expand creativity and Beauty.
Patricia Ballentine is an artist, poet, Priestess of the Goddess, ordained minister, and Death Midwife. The founder of The Temple of the Creative Flames, she has facilitated women’s circles, Priestess Process workings, and been involved in interfaith ministerial work since 1999. She was a co-presenter at the Parliament of World Religions, “Healing the World” 2021. As a priestess, she offers a focus on the Divine Feminine, including Mary Magdelene and the hidden presence of Goddess within current era monotheistic religions.
