Room 102- Heal What Hurts: How to Heal Emotional Triggers with Maria Toso

Heal What Hurts is an experiential 90-minute workshop introducing a somatic–spiritual approach to working with emotional triggers.

Through gentle somatic yoga, guided breathwork, and embodied inquiry, participants are invited to access the sacred energy field of the body and learn how emotional pain is held as contracted energy. We explore the three common responses to being triggered; lashing out, numbing out, and checking out; and practice a sacred alternative: turning inward to meet contraction with loving, steady presence.

This workshop offers practical, body-based tools for staying grounded and emotionally sovereign in moments of emotional reactivity, rather than outsourcing one’s power to others or circumstances. Participants leave anchored in a deeper sense of inner presence, resilience, and the quiet okay-ness of their own sovereign spiritual being.

Maria Toso is a somatic teacher, breathwork guide, and author specializing in embodied approaches to emotional healing and nervous system regulation. She is an E-RYT 500 Soma Yoga teacher, a Breathe Release It All Breathwork Guide, and a Somatic Energy Coach in private practice. Maria is the author of Heal What Hurts: How to Heal Emotional Triggers, published by Llewellyn Worldwide in September 2025, which explores how emotional pain is held in the body and released through presence, breath, and compassionate awareness.

Since 2016, Maria has taught Yoga Teacher Training within the Minnesota State College system, integrating somatic yoga, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices in both academic and experiential settings. Her work bridges spiritual inquiry and practical embodiment, supporting individuals in cultivating emotional sovereignty, resilience, and inner stability.

Maria teaches workshops, group programs, and retreats, and works one-on-one with clients through embodied, body-based healing practices.
