Create a spirit doll to hold secret and powerful messages that only you will know: your doll will be there as a touchstone when you need grounding or to aid in remembering the things we need to tell ourselves to feel strong, vibrant, and alive. We’ll first do a guided meditation and then begin a simple wrapped doll with sticks, batting, rice paper, and finally, fabric. You’ll find that this simple object will become very special to your heart. All supplies will be provided.
I’m Amy, I’d like to share how I got started in making spirit dolls; I came to know the amazing world of art dolls in 1998 and began to make my own, with my own methods and style. While making them I found I was in touch with an incredible energy that imbued certain virtues and qualities within the dolls that could be felt by others. I’ve participated in several art shows, gallery events, and have taught workshops on spirit dolls and healing.
