Join Stephanie for slow movement, meditation, and music. These practices have been researched and proven to help us feel better by relaxing our nervous system which helps with healing. Healing is flowing within the realm of possibility of our physical, mental, and spiritual limits. Our essence of who one is flows, and evolves within and around us even though we may not see or feel it or notice it sometimes, however, our body does notice it. The art of doing and the art of not doing with the art of connection to this flow will take one to a level of awareness that allows oneness within your mind, body, and spirit to process what is happening. When we slow down our body, breath, and mind, we welcome gentleness (the yin), and many times we become lighter and even more spacious than before. Doing this practice with others helps the flow of Chi (life force energy) move within all of us. Tai Chi and Qigong offer a beautiful ancient Chinese teaching of slow movement. If you are a professional meditator or you find meditating extremely hard, this class will be perfect for you. It can be hard to put into words how this circular flow of movement, stillness, and song helps one to expand and grow. It can create a burst of energy, and it can feel like a great wave of stillness, a nurturing bath of peaceful bliss, or a stream of contentment.
This class will be taught with options of either standing or sitting. All levels are welcome and no experience is required. We practice slowly and we move within one’s comfort zone. No additional equipment is needed. Good to dress in layers and bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Child-friendly (5 years and older)
