The Sacred Masculine has been conflated with the patriarchy, our absent fathers, our wayward lovers.
He is so much more.
We have longed for him and reviled him. We have clung to him and cast him aside. We have made him more than he is, we have stripped him down to what he is not.
As women under the patriarchy, we have mixed feelings about the masculine. We are longing to know him even as we have little understanding of what he is. Intuitively we understand that he, too, carries keys to our sovereignty and evolution. How can we make peace with ourselves without also making peace with him?
It has been said that the feminine is complete unto herself for she embodies the ultimate creative capacity: She is the bearer of Life. She is mother, priestess, goddess, the Earth Herself. She is the first whole center of her child’s universe. And the Deep Mother who gives birth to us all is surely the oldest deity in human history.
Yet there came a time when her throne was usurped, her temples ransacked, her priestesses defiled, and her heritage nearly destroyed, ultimately reconstituted in the name of the Holy Father. So much difficult history – dead and still living – lies between those days and these. It can be difficult to see past the past to what is possible in the future. It can be difficult to feel back to a time when the masculine and feminine were not tools in an unholy war, but rather essential archetypes from which the great, beautiful diversity and creativity of Life emerged.
We come from both our mother and our father. And each of us carry, within us, aspects of action and passivity, excitation and inhibition, stillness and movement. For our resilience in these times of tumult and transformation, we require the gifts and wisdom of both the Sovereign Feminine and the Sovereign Masculine. This Sacred Union is the foundation of the birthing of what is yet to come.
We are birthing a New World together.
Some say that the role of the masculine is to stand in Wonder. Let us adopt that attitude, and see if we can find a path through these challenging times that does not send us back into the binary hierarchy of the past – but rather that calls us forward to the emerging future – seemingly just out of reach, but in fact just at the very tips of our fingers.
Let us enter the Knowing Field with a question, curiosity, and a willingness to be surprised.
In this workshop we will engage in small and large group phenomenological constellations to explore our relationship with the Sacred Masculine, internally and within our family system. We shall seek to separate out the burdens we have placed on the masculine even as we re-awaken to our own inner masculine energies.

Katie Ibes is an emotional healing and couples coach, as well as a trained systemic Constellations facilitator with over 7 years of experience. When a Temple sacred to the divine feminine emerged in her garden studio in 2020, she was drawn into a deep contemplation on the nature of the feminine and masculine as she and her partner brought the sanctuary to life. Upon the completion of the temple, her beloved was revealed as her betrayer, a revelation that lead her on a new sacred path, this time to Mary Magdalene sites in the Pyrenees and the coasts of Scotland, where she is currently supporting the formation of temple to the Divine Feminine. Following those encounters with the Deep Mother, she has been called to reimagine her relationship with the Beloved Sacred Masculine archetype. From this a new teaching is emerging on the nature of Self, sovereignty and our collective journey to Sacred Union.
