This workshop will explore the various forms of philanthropy – one on one, community welfare, and institutional, and how they intersect with personal values. Participants will learn about types of social justice issues, actions and methods of change, and trust-based philanthropy. Finally, participants will be asked to identify aligned actions that they might take to use their personal power for the benefit of their community.

Erin Williams Rodriguez is the current Grants Program Manager at Mary’s Pence. She loves connecting with potential grantees, hearing their stories, and finding ways to support them. Previously, Erin was the Corporate & Foundation Relations Officer at the Minnesota Zoo Foundation and she has worked for nonprofit organizations across the U.S. She holds a BFA in Theatre, summa cum laude, from Sam Houston State University and MA in Performing Arts Administration from New York University. Erin loves connecting with people over food, music, storytelling, celebrations and remembrances.
